VaultMemo is a notebook for the things you would rather not keep in a cloud: door codes, recovery phrases, medical notes, a diary, a draft nobody should read yet. It runs as a static web page and stores everything in your browser's IndexedDB, encrypted with AES-GCM-256 under a key derived from your master password. There is no account, no server-side storage and no synchronisation, because each of those is a place where your text could leak.
We built it to be inspectable rather than trusted. The parameters are stated on the page and written into every backup file; the site loads no third-party scripts and makes no network requests after the first load; the encryption is done by the browser's own WebCrypto implementation, not by JavaScript we wrote. The same honesty applies to the limits: a forgotten password cannot be recovered, malware on an unlocked machine can read what you can read, and backups are yours to make.
It is built and maintained by Interhive OÜ, a small studio in Tallinn that makes tiny, dependable web tools.
